I used to be able to not make boring posts.
I bet you all thought you were done with seeing Pokémon rosters on your flists! >:D
Still slogging along. Just got through Dragonspiral Tower. Seven badges, so the Elite Four is in sight... hopefully. :P Seymour evolved and looks weird, Nikola evolved and looks cool, and my love for pantslizards has not decreased with Randy's evolution. ♥ Lydia is working out okay but I really hope Litwicks get some kind of significant stat boost when they evolve. ~20 speed/~90 HP mean she often gets killed before she has a chance to do anything. x_x (Speaking of which, holy geez there is some late evolution in this gen. Normally you'd expect a three-stage Pokémon to have evolved at least once by level 40.)
Non-Pokémon things: I think it is Vethie Talks About Manga She Has Been Reading time again. Well okay, technically it is a manhwa but whatever. Basically I started reading Change Guy/Quantum Mistake a couple weeks ago and it is pretty amazing. Yes it is a bodyswap that is actually not most of the reason I like it okay. It is the characters, mainly, especially the protagonist. So adorkable. ♥ There are also some pretty dudes if that is your thing. It's pretty darn funny too, or at least, I think so. Went and bought a copy of the English version, because that is how I roll, and it was a very nice translation. I wish they'd done more volumes, or if they have, that I could find them anywhere. :x Basically, this is another thing you guys should read okay.
Speaking of translation, a couple quick bad translation things recs. I am making my way through a Let's Play of Pokémon Vietnamese Crystal and this thing needs a fandom or something, man, it is so great. It's also kind of refreshing to see the reckless way these guys play. I'm so used to rushing back to the Pokémon center at any sign of danger that it's an exciting change to see them powering through three trainers in a row with their Pokémon nearly fainted. Also Yu-Gi-Oh fans should follow this tumblr because it's hilarious.

Yeah there is a lot of late evolution in Gen V isn't there? I guess it's because...well you'll find out after the first run-through of the Elite Four. There's a bit of a level difference between the first E4 run-through and the trainers you encounter on the routes past the entrance to Victory Road.

The E4 gave me serious fits in this game. And just be prepared for afterward. You fight N, and then have an immediate fight with Ghetsis. Most people say that N healed your party in between the battles, but he definitely didn't for me, so I had to fight Ghetsis with three of my team dead and the others near death. ;_; (And seconding the HOLY MOTHER OF LEVEL JUMP between the E4 and all the trainers you fight afterward. Just. Wow.)
