Three quickie rants

Writing out accents and dialects. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it can give things a cultural flavor. (Case in point, Cross the Heartland, an excellent Kingdom Hearts/Disney AU fic.) A couple 'Eys and 'Eres here and there can be fine. But when your fic or RP starts looking like I've accidentally crawled into the Apostrophe Forest, I hit the back button posthaste.
Dear Jumanji:
It is in fact spelled "posthaste". With one e.
Dear A Certain RP:
Why would you have a bodyswap where the characters take on the speech patterns, vocabulary, etc. of whosever body they're in? That seems like it would defeat the purpose a little.
And on a related note, I'd like to plug
hogwarts_hocus, in my opinion the best multifandom RP around. If you like to roleplay, I urge you to check it out.
