Wow, dang I missed a lot of days. I was planning on catching up on Thursday, but Anime Boston ate my entire weekend. Whoops. AB was pretty spectacular, though. I had a lot of fun. Will hopefully post a con report within the next couple weeks. :D Also Passover ends in a few hours and classes end in a few days so I am feeling pretty okay right now. Just have to get through these last couple homeworks and then finals. Yosh~
I also started watching Madoka today. Yes, finally. It is good so far, but would probably be better if I did not know so many spoilers. :( Still, I like it. The characters seem pretty cool and I love the art style and I want Madoka's house. Kyubey's voice is annoying though.

Jan. 24th, 2010 04:29 pmWatching Slayers (the dub, anyway) is such a surreal experience because the male lead has Brock's voice. Like, exactly Brock's voice. But that just makes it that much better. I can't believe I never watched this show before, it's super fun. I really have to watch the rest sometime.
Also, even after so many years, I would still totally marry JCA. (The first two seasons, at least.) I don't even care that marriage between humans and cartoon shows is probably illegal everywhere (except maybe Guam). That show. <3

Jan. 5th, 2010 09:16 pmSo I had a dream where Christopher Columbus and Sadako/Samara from The Ring were BFFs. I don't... I don't even know anymore. But then I had one about Rick Murray, so it was all good.
Didn't finish Genshiken in time for vacation to be over. I think I made a valiant effort, though. It's definitely the most episodes of one series I've seen under my own power. (Yes, I know how sad that is.) Also, continuing to make progress in Fire Emblem. I'm on chapter 12 and no one's died yet. ^_^ (Yes, that took entirely too many restarts.)

So I am doing an unprecedented thing and actually trying to watch a whole anime on my own time! This is because I have found Genshiken and it is wonderful and awesome. I mean, it's a slice-of-life about nerd life. They don't get much more awesome than that. It is also giving me a great opportunity to practice my Spanish because those were the only subs I could find ._.;;. So yeah, I'm going to try to finish that over the vacation. My current rate's three episodes a day, so I should be all right. I just wish there were more fanworks. :|Also I am totally kind of crushing on Madarame a lot. And also I sorta ship Madarame/Sasahara liek woah.
Also, started playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. It's really hard but really fun, and I'm attempting to beat it without losing anyone. Which... is impossible, because it's Fire Emblem. But darn if I'm not going to try.

- Beat Kingdom Hearts a few weeks ago. It was a good game, if a little short. Really sad ending, though. ;_; Also, there's no way I'm ever shipping just Axel/Roxas again. Axel/Roxas/Xion for life. (...Roxas/Xion can come too.)
- Got to nearly 100% completion (134/135 puzzles - that last one is hard!) in Professor Layton and the Curious Village yesterday. Beat the game a few days ago. Started it a few days before that. :P It's a very addictive game, but very short and with no replay value. I'd recommend playing it in short chunks, "short" being here defined as "less than five hours". ._.;; LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES, KIDS.
- Digimon: Hurricane Touchdown is a really trippy movie. Especially the original. I don't think I understood one thing that was going on, but it was quite an experience. Also, I'm really saddened that the American who gives the kids a ride didn't become some kind of meme. "Japanese cars are REALLY GREAT! Made in Japan is REALLY GREAT!"
- Brawl in the Family's current "A Mushroom Kingdom Carol" plotline is... whoa. Whoa. I've always had an appreciation for this comic's style, but who would have thought a silly little webcomic about Nintendo characters could craft such an emotionally affecting story? Dang.
- Artists of the Blood+ pictures on Safebooru, I am disappoint. That series is entirely pretty art and pretty people. You can do better than a bunch of pictures of Saya and Diva being vaguely incestuous. Vary it up a little. Come on, let's at least get some nice ones of Hagi.

Nov. 18th, 2009 10:22 pmSeto no Hanayome appears to be a harem anime where the harem consists solely of a mermaid who's the heiress to a yakuza family and a guy with an afro. It also has a giant octopus. I can think of no higher recommendation for an anime.
(Disclaimer: I do not know if I am recommending this anime, because I don't have any plans to see past the first two episodes. But doesn't it sound awesome?)

Ponyo's hot dad is so hot that my bookmark folder for him contains only 8 fewer pages than my one for SPHFWLKaiB. Which is quite a feat. Although I don't generally go specifically looking for pictures of SPHFWLKaiB, and there are a lot more likely to be multiple pictures of him to a page. So I guess it's not that impressive. And yes, I know I am probably the only person who thinks Ponyo's hot dad is hot. Whatever. He has nice hair.

May. 5th, 2009 08:37 pmI'm sorry, but if Hetalia does the entirety of "Cleaning Out the Storage" in English with those godawful accents, I may have to watch it on mute or something. Which is a shame, because it's a really powerful scene. It's like, I mean, I guess it makes sense to have countries actually speaking their own language, but then if they can't actually speak it very well, it's a little hard to suspend disbelief. Plus, why isn't Lithuania speaking Lithuanian then? "THEN I'LL GO MAKE SOME. COFFEE FOR YOU" indeed.
Also, Sato finally evolved. Just, y'know, if anyone cared. Also I hit 200 hours, and caught Cresselia, and discovered the wonders of the Underground. The Wonder Underground. Currently trying to get all the fossil Pokés - I've got Omanyte, Kabuto and Lileep so far. Lol I don't know why I'm going on about Pokémon. Probably because I forgot how to actually say anything important. :|

Grell and Sebastian. Come on. There has to be something that can be done with this. Someone at least has to make an AMV.
And to those who haven't seen Kuroshitsuji, I really encourage you to. There's drama, horror, comedy, a handsome butler who kills people with kitchen implements, a comic relief cast with actual plot relevance, and, oh yes, tons of flaming gay. (O.A., you'll especially like it; the main character is about twelve, and the amount of implied shota involving him is pretty astronomical.) Heck, while I'm at it, I also encourage you to listen to Belle and Sebastian; their music is some of the best I've ever heard, especially on "If You're Feeling Sinister".
And now for something completely irrelevant: I totally always thought Frida Kahlo would be, well, ugly (I mean, wouldn't you with self-portraits like these?). But I looked her up and it turns out she was actually kind of pretty. Who'da thunk?

Almost directly related, in my youth I had a crush on Vegeta for a time, and afterwards I could never remember what it was I saw in him. Well, I just figured it out: Chris Sabat's voice. Seriously, compare. 1999 version (which, yes, is Chris Sabat, but imitating Brian Drummond)? Thoroughly unattractive, actually kinda freaky. 2007 version? hetalia have probably discussed this one to death, but I have to throw in my two cents. (Or two groszy?)
So. This is Poland. Friends call him Feliks. He talks like a valley girl. He has crossdressed multiple times. You get the point, right? He's kind of girly.
... They gave him the manriest voice in the entire show. (about 1:05) Well, maybe not as manry as Germany. And of course, there has to be an exception made for Amerikamina. But. Seriously? Poland. Oh, Hetalia. Please never stop bringing the lulz.

Oh, man. This was a terrible week for homework. And sleep. The most sleep I got was six hours. And it doesn't look like this weekend will be much better. A long weekend and everything. D: D: D:

Dec. 26th, 2008 09:56 amThe reason I haven't been posting for a while is because I didn't want to post until I did that meme... and then... I didn't do that meme ._.;;; I WILL DO IT EVENTUALLY HONESTLY SOME OF THOSE QUESTIONS ARE HARD
Basically, I just... Bleach 200 came out the other day and... how wrong is it that I find Szayel's begging/pleading while he's waiting to die completely hot? Especially the "hayaku hayaku hayaku" bit. (Refer to this video if necessary.) Seriously? The guy's been waiting an infinite number of centuries to finally get stabbed in the heart, he's begging to hurry up and die already and all I can think is "man, that's hot?" That's just... messed up.
I just wish I knew what Mayuri was saying to him afterwards. From my limited knowledge of Japanese, I've gathered it's something about having multiple slow-motion sexy makeouts, but I could be wrong. ^^;;
... Is that blue stuff his hair?
Okay, let's talk about something else. So the other day I thought finally logging onto Gaia after a year and a half would be fun. It was not. It was lonely, mainly because I only have one friend who goes on anymore. I know some of you guys used to be on there - any lapsed Gaians willing to start up again? It'll be an ~*~adventure~*~!
Also I got Animal Crossing: City Folk, someone Wi-Fi with me sometime.

And who knew France, Austria, Canada, America, and heck, even UK were such good-looking guys? (Poland kinda gets on my nerves though.)
