Breather post!
May. 12th, 2012 11:03 pmI know I don't need to apologize for the unexplained week-long breaks from 100 things posting, but I'm sorry anyway. I've had finals for the past week or so, and then the past two days I couldn't get myself back into the swing of writing the next one. Hopefully I'll be motivated enough to get it up tonight (that's what she said), but in the meantime, have this post as a short breather. :B Also, this is a good opportunity to say hi to
captainporridge, fellow Ladd/Claire shipper and also a cool person, from the regrettably tiny Baccano! friending meme. Hey there, Cap! :B
While I'm here, a brief update on two new fandom things, which both start with A and as such are regrettably ineligible for retroactive addition to my 100 things. The first is Assassins, which Yuki and I got the chance to see a production of on Thursday. Yes, okay, we'd both been huge fans of the songs already, but this was the first time either of us had seen it performed and it was awesome and amazing and nearly-perfect, hnnnng. The only actors I had a problem with were the Balladeer/Oswald and (partially) Zangara. Everyone else was excellent; major props to Booth, Guiteau and the Proprietor especially. And I now feel qualified to consider it a fandom because of all the shipping I came out of it doing. I realize I am probably going to Hell for all this, but dang it, there was so much touching among them! And I am a sucker for crossover pairings, and even though they all appear in the same work they are from different parts of history and never met so it counts. Booth/Oswald OTP man. ;___; Still, this is the only thing I can think of where I actually feel uncomfortable shipping from it. Doesn't stop me, obviously, but still. Thanks, Mr. Sondheim. I think.
Okay yes I said there were two things. The second is Avengers, which I saw with my dad today. Not going to say too much about this one because spoilers, but it was definitely an awesome movie. Perfect dialogue (Joss Whedon ilu ♥), action scenes that actually drew me in (I'm normally pretty indifferent on them), and Loki being a serious cutie. That hair, unf. Ships in that one were Tony/Bruce and Thor/Loki (it is okay because gods are all up ons the whole incest thing). HG also suggested Steve/Thor, ship name: Captain Hammer. I'm down. c:
Okay, that is basically all I have to talk about now because my life is boring. But in case I do not write the next 100 things post tonight, or even if I do, I leave you with this meme that I stole from
mireia_antonina: ( Give me a fandom/pairing/character... ) Go for it. :D
